The Colorodo Horse Park has updated their requirements to the the outbreak of VSV.
Here is the latest information for The Colorado Horse Park on Health Certificates, Vaccines & Coggins. Thank you for helping us keep your horses healthy!
Current Health Certificate Requirements due to VSV in region:
Colorado: 7-day Health Certificate. Horses originating from Montrose County will also receive a brief veterinary inspection upon arrival.
New Mexico: 7-day Health Certificate plus a brief veterinary inspection upon arrival.
Texas: Only horses originating from counties Crockett, Uvalde, Jim Hogg, Edwards, Medina, Terrell, Tom Green, Pecos require a 7-day Health Certificate plus a brief veterinary inspection upon arrival. Horses from all other Texas counties with no known cases remain under the 30-day Health Certificate requirement.
All Other States (now including AZ): 30-day Health Certificate.
Additional Requirements for All Horses entering the showgrounds:
1. Proof of EHV-1 & EHV-4 vaccination administered within the past six (6) months from arrival date
2. A negative Coggins test dated within the past twelve (12) months from arrival date
If you are traveling from Colorado, please ensure your horse’s Health Certificate is issued within seven (7) days of arrival at the showgrounds to help avoid delays or entry issues. Please be advised that equine entry requirements are subject to change as disease conditions evolve or as additional guidance is issued by the Show and CO State Veterinarian.

We understand this update may require adjustments to your travel plans, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. These requirements are in place to comply with current state veterinarian guidance and to help safeguard the health and well-being of every horse attending The Colorado Horse Park.
